Welcome

This is a space to feel held, to reflect, and to use creativity as a path toward understanding and healing. I offer trauma-informed art therapy grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience.

Together, we work at your pace, using creativity, reflection, and relationship to make sense of what you’re carrying and to support healing, connection, and change.

Client confidentiality is central to my practice. No client artwork or identifying material is shared on this site. This, and the following images are from my own reflective studio practice.

What Is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative processes to support emotional healing and self-understanding. Images, materials, and symbols can offer a way to explore experiences that may feel overwhelming, fragmented, or difficult to put into words.

Sessions are paced carefully and adapted to your needs. You are always in control of what you share and how you engage.

You do not need to be creative or have any art background. The focus is on process, not product.

Art therapy is not art classes or creative coaching. It is a form of psychotherapy delivered within a professional, confidential framework.

My Approach

I am a trauma-informed art therapist whose work blends clinical grounding with warmth, creativity, and deep respect for your lived experience.

My approach prioritises emotional and physical safety, choice, and consent, with careful attention to nervous system regulation. I work relationally and collaboratively, drawing on attachment theory, mindfulness, and psychodynamic understanding to explore both present-moment experience and deeper patterns shaped by past relationships.

Grounded in psychotherapy theory, ethical practice, and professional standards, I aim to offer a steady, compassionate therapeutic relationship that moves at your pace and is guided by what feels most supportive for you.

Who I Work With

I specialise in supporting adults who are experiencing:

Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD)

Medical trauma (cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship)

Depression and emotional numbness

Low self-esteem and shame

Fibromyalgia and chronic pain

Individuals navigating difficulties related to substance use

I have a particular focus on working with cancer patients and survivors.

As someone with lived experience of breast cancer, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and identity-related challenges that can arise before, during, and after treatment.

Professional Registration and Training

I hold a First Class Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Design and Applied Arts and a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy (Distinction).

I am a Full Member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My work is guided by their professional standards, ethical frameworks, and commitment to safe, effective practice.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ensuring that your personal information is handled securely and in line with UK data protection law.

What You Can Expect

In sessions, we may use drawing, painting, clay, collage, or simple creative exercises alongside reflection and conversation. Some sessions may feel quiet and grounding; others may bring up strong emotions. All of this is welcome.

You are not required to talk about anything before you feel ready. The artwork can speak for you.

Working Together

I work with adults in both individual and group art therapy sessions. Therapy can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs and circumstances.

I also offer group art therapy for women experiencing breast cancer. These groups provide a supportive, trauma-informed space to explore the emotional impact of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship alongside others with shared experience. Groups may be accessed through self-referral and, where appropriate, referrals from oncology teams, healthcare professionals, or cancer support charities.

In addition, I offer therapeutic art workshops for workplaces, designed to help staff explore burnout, build team understanding, and reflect creatively in a safe, engaging, and enjoyable way. These workshops use art as a tool for awareness, collaboration, and personal insight, offering a meaningful experience without being individual therapy.
